Piris Eliyahu, “Midnight”, 2017

Piris Eliyahu is a composer, tar player and music researcher originally from Dagestan. Nowadays Piris composes contemporary Eastern music, witch is so interesting and inspiring to me. I am fascinated by the ways Piris finds to deal with motifs and explore the Maqam at the same time, and playing his music is always a challenge.

Here you can listen to the Piris Eliyahu Ensemble at the “Piyut Festival” in Beit Avichai, Jerusalem, 2017.

With Mark Eliyahu, Elad Levy, Wasim odeh, Ariel Qassis, Rony Iwryn, Moshe Shalev, Mayu Shviro
